Access rules and limitations
- Items must be liftable by two people
- Upholstered items need a visible fire safety label and must be in good condition
- Call the council before booking if you have an unusual item, as some items such as old fuel tanks cannot be taken
If you cannot move the items yourself: A separate assisted collection service exists for residents who cannot carry bins to the kerbside for health reasons, but this was not confirmed to extend to bulky waste collections
Kerbside-only rules are the norm across the UK; crews are not insured to enter your home. If nobody can get your items outside, see your options when you can't lift it.
